Welcome to Foodie (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Foodie mobile application (the “App”). By using Foodie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Foodie is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use the App to create and manage your own recipes and related content on your device. Because Foodie is a serverless application, all app data and content you create are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for ensuring your device and content backups are secure.

2. User Content

All content you create or import into Foodie (including photos, recipes, or notes) remains your property. We do not collect, view, or store your content — it exists only on your device.

By using the App, you agree not to use it to:

• Upload or create content that is illegal, harmful, or infringing on others’ rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the App

3. In-App Purchases and Donations

Foodie offers optional one-time donations through Apple’s StoreKit system. All payments are processed solely by Apple, and we do not collect or store any payment information.

Donations are non-refundable, except as required by Apple’s refund policies.

4. Intellectual Property

The Foodie App, including its design, code, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Victor Karanevich and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the App without prior written consent.

5. Privacy

Your privacy is very important to us. Because Foodie is serverless, we do not collect, transmit, or store personal data.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:

• The App’s uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
• Preservation or recovery of user data

Use of the App is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Victor Karanevich shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or inability to use it.

Because Foodie is serverless and stores data only locally, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from device damage, deletion, or app removal.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available within the App or at our official website/GitHub Pages. Your continued use of Foodie after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
